5TH ANNIVERSARY ANNUAL SUMMIT COMING MAY 31!

Girls Spark is excited to announce the success of our 4th Annual Summit, which took place on June 1, 2024 at Penn State Brandywine. Our flagship event united middle and high school girls from across the Delaware Valley, providing them with the essential knowledge and skills to navigate challenges faced by teen girls today.

Overseen by Board President Laura Kasper and Board Members Nicole Stevenson and Heather Kay, the Summit featured an array of workshops facilitated by accomplished female leaders and designed to improve the social, mental, economic, and overall well-being of girls. Keynote speakers Jen Croneberger and Erika Rothenberger captivated attendees with their presentations, “The LIGHT Principle” and “The Audacity to Be Resilient,” respectively.

“It was great for my daughter to hear the speakers’ messages of positivity and recognize that other girls feel the same way she does. This day helped her to feel less alone,” said the parent of an attendee.

Art therapy, yoga, and self-defense classes were also offered, along with a complimentary lunch, shopping, and door prizes for attendees to enjoy. Demonstrating a commitment to community service, Girls Spark donated menstrual products the day of the Summit to The Spot Period.



Our Summit would not have been possible with the steadfast support of our Adult & Teen Leadership Boards, generous sponsors, and dedicated volunteers. As we conclude our 2023-24 programming year, we are thrilled to share that we have empowered 456 middle and high school girls, marking an impressive 59% increase from the previous year.
